Okay I purchased the Endless Space Pre Order (Emperor Edition) and after downloading and hitting the play button I get the following Steam - Error:



"Failed to contact Key Server"



I verified that I can get keys from other games in my library so this has to be the lack of keys for the game in steam.



So I am thinking Steam and Amplitude need to get together and get more Keys Generated so I can mess around with the Alpha



Looks beautiful from the screen shots and video.

Basically. The massive interest in this game once it went on Steam was unexpected. Like you said, Valve/Steam and Amplitude will need to get together and get more keys going so the people who bought the game can play.



I would suggest that this should be stickied or something so that people can easily find it. Or even an announcement made.



In the meantime, I suggest you and anyone else affected by this problem should read over the forums, and the game manual, while you wait for the problem to be resolved.

Thanks for the heads up BlazerMortis. I am knee deep in the manual right now. Just worried that when I get to the end of it, I won't have to wait long. Do you have any idea how long have people been waiting for keys?
