I have noticed that I cannot effectively block enemies from traveling through systems with a garrison. If you manage to hit the attack button in the fraction of a second they occupy the star, you can engage, otherwise they cruise on past with not so much as a salvo at them. Then I have to track them down with another fleet so they don't take a system in my hinterlands.



Is is supposed to be this way? If so, the only way to defend your empire is to put a fleet on every star, because border defense is worth jack-shit?



If not, I guess I will wait for the patch that fixes this.



I want to be able to order a fleet to engage anyone who passes through their system.

Pretty sure the devs said this was a bug and will be patched

I just won a game with sophons and had a easy ride. And it's an ALPHA. Like in "the game needs balancing".

I love trolls the most fun thing to is to get them angry then watche them blow.

Normally, only empires that you have an Open Borders treaty with should be able to travel freely within your empire. If you are at War the enemy fleet can travel within your frontiers, but should not be able to get past a system where you have a fleet without stopping to exchange, er, "pleasantries"... "
