Now we all know that AI ship composition is a bit lacking or one sided. Most AI ships having something like 1000missle attack and 500 kinetic defense and nothing else. While this is actually very hard to counter early game when you lack good weapons and defenses, late game it allows you too stomp all over them.

So, anyone have any good videos of you stomping all over the AI and their questionable fleets?

Mine

Also, I don't fret over losing those "fodder" ships in the second battle, I can churn out about 8 a turn.

Yep. AI is to weak now. They just dont react to change anbd use some simple tactics.

i had one battle with 1 ship at some number of points in the thousands, against 5 enemy ships in which they had only about 500 less points than me, and it was over before the melee part

Thing is...the AI seems to just be picking a few forms of attack and defense and just running with it. Sometimes it will get you, but if you are prepared and have good intelligence on their configuration, you can safely assume you'll triumph.

Personally, I just keep a general configuration with a moderate amount of every attack form, and every means of defense. that way, even if the computer tries to adapt to me, all borg-like, i won't have any major weakness. it's worked out for me so far.

Thats what I've done, no ship of mine leaves dry dock without 4-5 of each defense, and at least 2 of every weapon type. Those big ships in the video. . .they pack a lot more than that though, a looot more.

I am fighting the Cravers right now and they are most definitely adapting to my tech.

I had some battleships and a couple defenders in each of my fleets trying to wipe them out and they kept sending in new model ships that became more and more effective against my pre-existing fleets. I had to modify them frequently as the battle was raging. Right now the only thing they aren't doing well is having a full fleet attack me. They send 1-2 large ships and I typically wipe them out but they've been taking a few of mine with them.

Not so much adapting as rolling out the new templates. Watch, once you get adjusted to fight them, you'll be fine for a long while . . .maybe even until the game ends because there are only so many templates for the AI to use.
