well... for the first time i'm winning a game BUT of course theres gotta be something bad to it...

and thats the thing: sophon is unlinked to the rest of the galaxy... unabling me to trade, destroy them, and of course, winning!

i've checked all the systems and they're all on north east, while the south west is unlinked... presumably occupied by sophon since i can't find them.

Yes, i've got the wormhole travel tech.

Yes, i've explored all the systems...

Haha, that must be a royal pain in the bottom. I read that other players had this problem too.

There is the Warp Engines guys, which ignore warp links and can fly through empty space. It's just slower than your average.

Yeah, had this happen to me, too. And in order to get out using Warp engines, you have to at least have spotted a system that you can target for the move order. If you are too far off, tough luck.

Same thing happened to me, but then all of a sudden I got a trade offer from the Horatio hiding out in the unlinked zone. I was then able to see on of there planets, and the invasion began!

Why does this disable victory? Can't you go for a tech win, or did you disable that?

Yeah, go for an expansion win. Also when systems grow along the border they can sometimes spot a ship. If you spot enough ships, sometimes it's enough to make contact.
