I had a nice game set up where he started on one side of a huge galaxy, and I started on the other, with one WH connecting the 2. Was awesome, had about 40 stars to myself. After colonizing them all, and being considered "hostile" by the jacked-up diplo for no reason(never attacked them, had equal territory, one small fleet), i decided to see what it would take to make them like me. Started off by trying to "rent out" my resources, by giving them to him and(this is what the game says anyway) him paying me xxx every turn untill the deal is cancelled. Sounds like renting to me anyway. After 3 turns, i stopped getting his payments. According to the diplo page, the deal was still on.



So i said ok, tried to rent out my techs to him for xxx every turn. After 2-3 turns, stopped getting paid for that. Also the math on how much i should be getting every turn was incorrect. At this point he was "suspicious".



I decided to go ball-to-the-wall, and rent out every one of my systems, except my home system for 775d a turn. Naturally he accepted. After 2 turns, i stopped getting paid for it. At this point he was happy with me. We had a peace accord, it was all cool.



So i said wutdafuqlol, and cancelled all of my agreements with him. I got my planets back, ect. But at 0% tax, i owed him 500d a turn "from diplomatic terms". At 40% tax, it jumped up to the pic i linked. The guy was still happy with me, so i set up the rent agreement for all my planets again. Now he owns all my planets, is supposed to be paying me 775d a turn, and instead i owe him 1200d a turn...



I know the diplomacy part of the game is jacked up atm, sorry if this is a double post of an already known bug(i couldnt find one).

I wish rent worked like that for me in the real world.....

Haven't run into that. But that sounds like something that would get posted on FML lol

Hah, right? After I took the screenshot of the empire window, i went to take a screenshot of the diplo window and the game crashed to desktop, so I wasnt able to get it. No save game either, of course.
