1.) At space battles, you should really really have control over the camera, it´s the mood killer when you watch from afar epic scene where big fleets open fire to each other, but then camera switches to stare at the engines of your or enemy´s cruiser. I don´t even understand why camera is so happy to take closer looks on ships, I don´t think animations or details on ships or their explosions are high enough for that, my suggestion is that you let players at least choose how far they want to watch battle, far, middle or close. Other than that camera acts well.

2.) Don´t add those ugly buff effects on battles when you are playing one of those tactical ´cards´ or whatever. Another big mood killer for me when epic fleets open fire to each other, then right after ships suddenly become light bulbs or their surroundings start to sparkle like they are firing fireworks as if it´s some freaking new years eve party on the ship. I don´t think you need to convince player that buffs are working with those effects. It´s already enough that buffs icons are shown on screen with long, medium and close range phases.

3.) I´d want to be able to see on galaxy view what is happening on each star system, are they still building something or not, sometimes those alerts on the right corner are not enough and I end up with star systems that I have not improved for 30 turns. Just add some "!" mark or something, which shows logo of current improvement being build when I hover my mouse over the "!" mark.

4.) There are heroes, all right, but how about adding possibility to hire governors for star systems to decide next best improvement for you? They could be expensive so you don´t have possibility to get them right away, but towards the end you start to have so much dust you don´t know what to do with, and so many star systems, amount of micromanagement on every planet of every star system gets almost overwhelming, one turn ending up 20 minute long, not to mention those fleets you have to manage and direct.

5.) There should be small notification when your fleets have arrived to destination. Because of reasons mentioned at 4th, you really easily forget some of your fleets and they just sit idle for many turns.

6.) Notification when your star system´s hangars are full. I´ve noticed I have spend many many turns just waiting for some of star systems building queues to finish, not realizing their hangars are full. Oh the frustration, especially during wars.

Those are it for me for now.

When you hover over a system it should say at the bottom what it's currently building and how many turns remaining. I agree it would be nice to have a visual indication like a ! mark as you said when it isn't building anything though. Although i've not had any trouble with the bubbles on the side or using the empire management screen myself.

The game has this already. On your empire overview page on the far right for each planet is a drop down box that will tell the AI to focus on building certain improvements.

I agree with almost everything you said.. I think that the hero spawning should be changed a bit. It's an academy right? So make an average governor spawn every 10 turns or so, like he finished traning and is ready to serve or something, but he's nothing special, but every 40-50 turns, there's this super genius, one-in-a-million kinda guy who would cost quite a bit more. Make him have really good combination of traits and have really good base attributes. Think it might work..

I agree with the idle thing. Maybe make it so that at the beginning of each turn, you're shown the empire manager and the fleet manager?

I think more cinematic camera angles are planned for the battle phase. Remember reading that somewhere..

I'd also like a pop-up at the end of a turn when you don't have a research assigned. I'm someone who tinkers a lot, so I have maybe 1-2 researches Q-ed up at most. Of course, I got caught up reading the tooltips for some of the anomalies (The red-shirt one is hilarious!") and I promptly forgot to set research. For 10 turns. As sophons. Guess how that game turned out.. :/

To

1) Agree, albeit you get really used to it fast. smiley: smile

2) I find the buffs cute. smiley: smile

3) frankly, the usual warnings are enough for me

4) if you take a look at the Empire Management menu, you have the possibility to let an AI manage each system individually along a rough guideline, which is equivalent to a governor for me. smiley: smile

5 and 6: agree

Go to the Empire Management screen and sort on improvements. All the systems that are not currently building anything will be lumped together, and you can give them tasks from that screen.

Go to the Empire Management screen and assign AI to govern your worlds. You can set what their priority should be on each world.

Go to the Empire Management Screen.

For me the most important is the first one! But I agree with them all.

I would even go as far as giving some visual cues before each phase to hint the enemy of what card the other is playing and try to counter it in the last second.

I totally agree, but there are much people who like those effects, maybe the DEV's should add an option for that, then everyone could decide that on his/her own.

Game Options:

☐ Show Buff Effects

Would work for me smiley: biggrin
