at the current game I hired 3 heroes. There are 3 more available, but when I want to hire one of those, I get the message that there is no more free space at my academy.

Is there some possiblity to increase the maximum number of heroes hired?

There are techs in the left side of the tree which increase this. But it is supposed to be a limited resource. More information here:
