I was reading the starting text with them, and they get 1 locust per turn per colony. What is a locust and how do I use it?

gives a 25% bonus to FIDS production for the first 50 points, afterwards its a -25% penalty.

English translation: basically Cravers get a huge bonus resources while constantly expanding, but they take a huge economic penalty if they are unable to keep capturing new systems. This is an advantage early game. So play aggressively and don't let yourself get boxed in.

Does it actually show these Locust points anywhere?

I couldn't find them.

:eek:On a side not, fighting cravers as cravers sucks...you keep their Locust points so if you take their planets over they will be 1/2 way depleted quite often and there is no way that I could see to find out how much of the way they are

Shouldn't every race technically take over the Locust points of a system? If the Cravers completely "razed" a planet, it wouldn't make much sense that it's suddenly refreshed when another race takes it over. A depleted planet is a depleted planet.

Yes, I just meant that you lose a lot of your racial because if you fight any other species there are no craver points so it will not be near depletion when you take it, where as when you take cravers planets they will be..

as the sophons in my last game, caught between the Hisso and the cravers i elected to take out the cravers. i held off the Hisso long enough to take the cravers and practically all there planets were depleted, felt like i had won a barrel of rotten apples. i lost

As far as I've encountered craver planets so far, they do.

Would make sense, since otherwise a craver player could voluntarily let an opponent take some of its planets to get some kind of "reset" before he takes them back. If locust points were to stay for everyone, it would be much more dynamic and much more interesting for everyone to counter craver expansion quickly.

It stays for ever, I'm fighting against a craver and some of his planets have "depleted" just above.
