Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but I just loaded up ES for the first time (looks beautiful, music is awesome!) and the text size on highest resolution (1920x1080) is absolutely tiny and hard to read. This has been a problem for me in other games, maybe we could see a scale for text size in the graphics settings? Aside from that, I'm super excited to get going...

I find myself moving towards the TV every time I need to read my fleet information. A bigger UI for 1920 screens would be welcome!

As someone with very poor vision I am one hundred percent in support of this idea. I don't have any problems right now, but that's mostly because I bumped the resolution down a bit to help with the font size in the UI



At the very least there's a workaround, it pains me that I never got to play Distant Worlds

Yeah I've got mine playing on a 32" LCD HDTV. Having finally pulled myself away from the game (after getting obliterated on my first try) I can say that having to lean forward the whole time is a pain in both senses. Larger UI, text-size slider, whatever. As long as I don't have to sit on the edge of my seat to read all the tiny information that I actually am super interested in.

Running windowed (1600x900) on 1920x1080 desktop (or full screen at 1080p) on 23" monitor and text size isnt a problem for me - however I think being able to choice the text size (and if possible the ui itself) would be a good addition to the game.

I haven't had any difficulties and having an all across the board text size increase would probably be difficult and ugly.

i'm in 1920 X 1200 on a 26 inches screen and i think the text is a little difficult to read too.....



some games succeed to have good reading size with big resolutions...



improvement of the text size for big resolution would be a plus.

This would be great, I always have to run these games at lower resolutions just so that I can read the text. Would be lovely to have an option for larger fonts.

This would be great, sometimes i like to plug my laptop into my t.v to play games, but when I do this and am sat a little further away than usual it can be really hard to make out the small text

It would be most welcome. My eyesight isn't the best and the text in this game doesn't help at all at 2560x1600 res :< I find my eyes getting very tired after every session.

*laugh* I play on 1680*1050 on a 22" monitor, and on some screens I'd love to reduce the text size so I can get more info on each page.



So while I agree that adjustable text size would be awesome, it's for completely the opposite reason. smiley: biggrin
