Assimilation speed

Is there any way to increase the speed at which conquered planets assimilate into your own empire? I can't think of any research that does this but I might be wrong there.

It does seem to drag on, hampering an offensive push quite a bit and having effects well after an empire is defeated.

The main effect is a massive disapproval rating, in the range of -100 sometimes, which dramatically lowers fids production and empire influence area/territory. It can be countered with things like 'infinite supermarkets' (totally awesome name), but is there any other ways of countering this?

By assimilation you mean the amount of time it takes to curb the populations madness as opposed to the actual time it takes to take 'control' of the system? The only real counters i find are to station a hero which has some + happiness attributes for a little while.

- Make the planet a republic [30+moralescore].

- Drop a hero governor on the planet with the propaganda upgrade [+25moralescore].

- Make sure that your luxury goods can reach the planet.

Optionally if you're evil:

- Glass the system by terraforming its planets into barren worlds and let the AI take the system back.

I think there's a few upgrades that increase the recovery speed of conquered planets that you might want to check out.

i think the strength of the force should decrease the time it takes, to take over a planet, but at the same time, increase the time to raise the moral of that same planet. I am not saying make it so that if you come with overwhelming force you will conquer instantly, just ay 20% quicker with 20% negative moral.

Think about it, if you come to earth with overwhelming force, you may be able to take over easy, but the more forceful you are the more resentment you will build up. You can even write in the instant take over, by saying the more force, the more resistance movements will spring up. (ie: more time till you take 100% control).

But with all those barren worlds the AI will get to much sciences! Until they build nothing but farms anyway.
