I posted such a thread when the forums were slow and peacefull, and the devs said that endless Space is their first baby and they were putting everything into it. so they don't have thought about an after-ES at the moment.

I would be really interested in a RPG (old fashion way, like baldur's gate, or neverwinter nights 2 or witcher) in the ES universe.

While ES looks promising it's definitely to early to be looking at future games. I do hope if they produce more they are set in the same universe, it would be great to have a nice fleshed out thing like that.

I think that purely the multiplayer of ES when released will keep me happy for a long time

I really doubt that a small, newly established (as far as the gaming community goes) company, despite the massive influx of goodwill they're getting lately with Endless Space zooming up the charts, could really leverage themselves into a typical MMO. That requires a ton of funding and a much larger team, as well as numerous years to set up, and is a huge risk even then
