I am loving the game and have played a couple of campaigns with the united alliance and the hissho. So far the game is looking brilliant and has been done very well but there are a couple of things which i would love to see in the game.



1. The battles are slightly tedious after a while and i feel that there is no real strategy for them, i dont think it should go as far as being able to control the ships manually, but there should be more room for your own tactics, such as attacking from both sides, coming from two directions, focusing on one main ship.



2. I think it would be really good if the overall invasion area of the game is looked at. A number of things come to mind here. Firstly i think you should be able to build defences on the planets, such as shield domes, rocket launchers and so on. From there you could have new classes of ships primarily for invasion and possibly have battles for invasion. I think that the way you take systems currently is very much stupid, just sitting there waiting. The ships should at least be attacked by the planets, also i think you should be able to co own systems, it would make it interesting when warring with another race, having to take one planet at a time and move in. If the planet has no defences you just steam roll your way in.



3. Diplomacy seems very limited and very poor. The enemy always hates me when i havent done anything. The trading seems very limited, i also think it is pathetic that you have to research how to ally with another race. The trading research is fine but having to ally seems very very ridiculous. You dont need research to simply say would you like to ally with me.



4. the ability to either recruit much more heros or have a govenor on each system which could possibly be elected to the system every 10 years and can give you benefits on the system.
