You have to create a fleet then select it and left click on the star system.

Not sure exactly what you are having trouble with - you can move your fleets from system to system by selecting them and right clicking on other star systems. Before you get warpdrives they can only follow the lane links between stars, with warpdrives they can fly through open space but its much slower so they will still usually follow the lanes as its quicker.

Once your colony ship is in another system select it and then you can use it with the colonise button in the bottom left. Systems have coloured dots next to them which represent the planets - blue is owned, white is colonisable and red is not colonisable (untill you have researched the tech to colonise that type of planet). So if theres a at least one white dot you can colonise and when you click the colonise button the planet list will pop up and you select which one you want.

Edit: Ah right click to move - heh

Apparently, youre really strong if your are one system for 300+ turns. I built one battleship with all my researched stuff and put a hero on it. 20 systems later I still have that same one battleship attacking away lol

I laugh as I go 1 vs 3 (all they shoot are missiles...about 6 missiles per ship) and I just camouflage...no missiles hit.

Go into the system view. In the upper left hand corner, it'll say either "Colony" or "Outpost (XX)". The XX's will be some number, which will tick down each turn. Once it reaches zero, it becomes a Colony and a formal part of your territory, throwing up an influence ring.

Invasions by enemy fleets, fleets of those you're in a cold war with, or pirate fleets can delay the foundation of a colony to a limited extent. If you're protecting your colonies, you're probably alright. If not, that might explain a colony delay.

I ha ve colonized all the planets in my system. Clicking on other systems just shows the planets with nothing else.

I have the warp drive and many other things.

I know its empty next to me due to an alliance (still empty 306 turns later).

Yes, I understand the colony ship is how to do it but how do I send the ship?

Not sure I fully understand the problem. Is the second pic you have shown your empire after 300+ turns - with just the one system?

You should have got a colony ship (free) when you started the game (if you havent just build one) and send it to a star system and click the flashing colonise icon (wireframe planet and flag).

Once you have built a colony ship, send it to a system wih colonizable planets.

On the botton left of the screen there will be a button to colonze, then you'll hav eto choose which planet you want.

Enjoy !

Colony ships, different for each race in name, are what allow the colonization of star systems. There are Hiveships, Netships, and Procreators just off the top of my head.

Have you landed a transport on one of the planets and colonized it? Maybe your question is why there is no colored disk for the region of influence. This will appear 30 turns after you land there, when the outpost becomes a colony. Please take a look at the FAQ in my sig below for more information.
