17 hours gameplay, and a few suggestions

Ahoy, star sailors. After a full playthrough i have to say im loving the game so far. Looking forward to getting some multiplayer when its released.



Anyways a few suggestions smiley: smile (forgive me if they've already been put forth)



#1 BIGGER map sizes.



After a play with a Huge Gal and 6+me empires, it was still quite cramped. I like exploring, and having to find my opponents. I think there should be another extra gigantic option where the map is well.. GIGANTIC! Personally i'd like a map at least 4x bigger than Huge. That takes weeks to play



#2 Minor Races.



They can be a very fun component. They dont expand like empires but their home system can advance like any other, also possibly building ships (unique to the empire ships). if you manage to diplo them into your empire without pew pewing their ships you could acquire them, or perhaps their hull could be added to your ship designer. Minor races could also add unique empire perks etc. It could also add extra tech points in the trees that improve your will over neutral minor races not yet taken over. theres quite a few possibilities with minor races.



#3 Fleet recall.



A simple little luxury. Being able to recall a fleet mid journey to the most recent system visited.



#4 More Combat Cards



Not really sure of ideas.. but more of them expanding combat options.



#5 Star System Tax exempt Option



An option within a star system under your control to exempt them from the current tax setting. (EG recently conquered low morale systems)



#6 Outpost/Starbases



being able to construct outposts & starbases or outposts that can eventually be upgraded to starbases via a tech unlock.



#7 Joint allies combat



TBH i've not had the opportunity to find out whether its available yet.



#8 Cloaking Devices



That can conceal movement on the gal map. Also there could be a fourth attack stage at the start of the combat that would give cloaked ships a bonus sneak attack.



#9 More unique techs for races.



More race unique options.. Tech that defines the races more.. Cloaking Device etc smiley: smile Tradable maybe

I disagree with #3. I think it's nice to not be able to recall a fleet. It forces you to think twice where to send them, and it gives a real need for scouts and spying (to know whether you can handle what's at the next system). Also gives you options to ambush fleets.



I can agree with most of the others, though smiley: smile
