I would be inclined to agree with you. I don't think you'll find very much disagreement that Endless Space's diplomacy system is very much a work in progress. The AI is not very smart, and will declare war on you for any reason and sometimes for no reason at all. Maybe we need a subforum in the Proposals section for diplomacy.
