The link you provided didn't mention anything about another expansion, just a general release of the Vaulters. Is that what you meant?
I'd like to see them make diplomacy actually fun and immersive. Without a doubt that's the weakest part of ES. It's a better game than it first was, for sure, but the lack of immersion is completely killer for me...
It's a weird question, and I had no better words to elaborate with in a short phrase, but is Endless space going to get any more DLCs, or is the future of the game going to be left to community mods? I only just joined the forums, so I don't know if there are other places where this thread should go, frankly I'm new to forums in general, but I do LOVE this game. I would like to see more effort poured into it in the future, because the only thing standing in the way of me expanding my 133 hour playtime is the fact that it's kinda buggy, even to an unplayable extent later on in the game. Dunno if it's just a me problem, but, I digress. I was just wondering if this game has any expansions planned for the future or if it's just done. I'll add a poll to see if you all feel the same.
I cant get enough of this quit atmosphere in the game. The quiet music, big galaxy, no voice actors (good point for me^^), makes you really feel lonely. I think it fits very well in the setting.
In which respect? I agree in the sense that I like ES's place in the timeline, and I don't want to see a ES2 where the story has progressed.
But starting over has allot of potential. With a better game architecture they could add things like more immersion, better gameplay, proper modding abilities, and on and on.
Sure, but a sequel often comes with a new UI, "better graphics", new sounds etc. which are things I would like them to stay as they are. I think its just too early for a ES2, there should be still potential in ES.
Its a hard decision. As a fan of sci-fi i want ES to evolve but i dont know how doable that is. Maybe ES 2 would be better. Lets wait and see what plans Amplitude has because they must release officially both EL and DotE first. I believe around X-mas we will know about any future plans.
What? why..... ES2 can be an extension of ES because it happens in a new part of space where the Endless didn't have dominion (my original idea). Imagine Dust dependent species fighting someone that doesn't know dust (Harmony don't count).
