What would be good in game once you had made contact with one or all the faction you would get a intel notification what the faction had researched. Leading onto creating spies to infiltrate, sabotage or take the said research.

Heroes could have a fun role in this. To send them off on a little... undercover work. Military for military secrets / and Civilian for more research / planetary spying.

If you had a spy there I would have no problem with it telling you.



I do have a problem with you being informed what they're learning with no effort on your part.



I know I certainly wouldn't go telling my neighbors about the new super weapon I was researching.
