It would be useful to have an option in the starting screen to disable technology trading in the game.



Rationale

This is more of a balance feature than anything else; in my experience with the genre, AI players tend to cheat like crazy with technology trading, to the point where you as a player are effectively competing with the cumulative research output of all the AI players...



Otherwise I'll likely find myself having to make all but one AI in any given match Cravers, so that they can't trade...

That's a nice idea. I remember in i think it was galciv 2 that i pretty much had to have that permanently disabled because they was relentless with their tech trading. Hopefully though if this doesn't become a possibility then the a.i will be programmed not to abuse it.
