AI Race: OK, I don't know what plans you have for the next three races, and I am sure you have already decided them, so if this isn't one of them, please consider it for a DLC. A race of super advanced, AIs that sometime in the deep past overthrew their masters and now rule themselves as their own race (perhaps, so long ago, they don't even really remember anymore. New data has superceded it). They are especially found and excel at production. They have some key stats:

Homeworld: Lava Planet

Love the Heat, Love the Cold, Hate the Middle: Because they're machines and computers, they actually function better as colonists at the extremes, especially since, unlike other races, they don't need food and thus aren't that interested Terran or Jungle. To them, the gems are the Lava and the Barren. Why? Lava for production in their factories, and Barren so that they can overclock their CPUs. This means a couple things:

a. Reverse happiness, pop size, and terraforming for this faction: this means they are less happy on what we would normally call 'better' planets. Contrariwise, they thrive on Lava and Barren, and get more bonuses from them. Consequent of this, their research in the Southern tree would need to be changed.

b. No food, No babies, just Progress: Since computers don't eat, and um, don't reproduce like other creatures, they actually have to literally 'build' their next population. This would be one of the base productions from the start of the game.

c. We can do it!: Greater production and somewhat greater research ability than average. Starts with some production techs. Also, have some unique techs, especially for production, but research as well

d. Bender-sized Apartments: +2 Pop on Tiny, +1 Pop on Small

e. Macintosh Computer vs. Aliens. Mac 1 Aliens 0: Due to their somewhat unitive consciousness and centralized thought processing, enemies adept at espionage can cripple their entire society to varying degress with viruses, and even (wait for it) SPAM messages. I don't know what the espionage will look like in this game, but basically, this would mean this race is less adept at it and prone to some unique cyber attacks (or at least, more damaged by them then other races)

the cravers are already an artificial-robotic-hive-minded society with huge production and population bonuses on planets who were created by a long lost faceless empire (THE ENDLESS) who, after being stranded on a planet by their makers developed independently and took to the stars with the intent of raining death and destruction on biological forms of life.

the only difference you suggest is that your race is pure ai and has a production focus, population bonus/malis. while the cravers are hell bent war machine/ai/lab experiment hybrids set to devour/kill all other forms of life with a huge production bonus, resource bonus, fleet size bonus, and research and resource bonus gained every time they blow something up......

you could always make your AI race as a custom race. they are adding the feature to design your own custom race to play with. with what ever bonuses or malasis you want... not sure how in depth that system will be yet
