ENDLESS™ Space is a turn-based 4X strategy game, covering the space colonization age in the ENDLESS™ Universe. You control every aspect of your civilization as you strive for galactic dominion.
It's just a short and simple balance suggestion for current and future traits, but I think an important one.
Some of the traits, specifically Knowledge Gathering and Dust Recyclers, don't scale properly at all with the game even though they should, essentially making them useless. Even 5% extra research is sure to give a lot more research in a game at any given time than Knowledge Gathering in the fiercest of all wars for example.
Thus I suggest making these traits and possible other similar ones scaling with the game, for example the gained research points/dust per destroyed enemy CP scaling with the level of the enemy faction. Examples:
Knowledge Gathering: +X% of enemys knowledge generation per destroyed CP
Dust Recyclers: +X Dust per enemy industrial ship value destroyed.
Note: There are more traits which don't scale but which aren't supposed to scale at all anyway, like planet anomalies at the beginning of the game. I'm not talking about those.
