I see in the patch notes that Auriga has an off switch..is it possible to also have an off switch for the immersion wrecking xmas planet/hero? Thanks

There is an option to turn off all wonders. Apart from that, you can also edit your xml files and remove the heroes / wonders you do not want to appear in game.
