When you can colonize asteriods you should create a starbase out of it. with these starbases you should travel to other systems and dock there to get the prod. research... boni from the asteroid in the other system.

I like the idea of being able to create a starbase out of asteroids. I was kind of surprised to see that they weren't a part of the alpha. I am new, so they could have been at one point but almost any 4x game has something like this.
