While most improvement/exploit have things like "+X on Barren" or Terran..., some have "+X on planet". Is it a text error? to which planet type do those apply?

I think it indicates a modifier to all planet types. I could be wrong though of course.

I interpret it so as well.

But I could also be wrong. smiley: smile

I was thinking the same but the thing is that there is things like:

+2 for terran

+1 for planet

+1 for desert (notice that this is same bonus as planet, so why specify it in this case?)

and I tried to build it on another planet type and didn't get the expected benefit...

Next time I play, I will get more precise data.

well the way i was looking at it (again i could be wrong) is if you had athose modifiers listed on a terran planet. then you would get a +3 benefit. 2 for the terran and 1 for the planet.. and if it was a desert planet you colonised. then it would be +2. 1 for desert and 1 for planet.

It really does need someone to confirm for sure though. If nobody does find out for sure anytime soon. i'll try asking alderbranch later when he comes on. (assuming he doesn't post here himself)

+X for planet applies for all planets and the +X for barren applies on top of that.

So you can have +1 on planets and +1 on barren (thus every planet has +1 and the barren planets have +2)

Ok sorry, I didn't see that the exploitation where counted in the population part of the production. So it works as you indicate (not sure if the modifier are additive through).

Then I have one suggestion for the display of the bonus.

Take the nonbarionic collider for example, it is currently shown as:

==========

+2 barren

+2 planet // in the middle of other type of planet, sometimes 5 or 6 lines

+1 artic

==========

It is not easy to read fast.

could be shown as

==========

+4 barren

+3 artic

+2 other

==========

or as:

==========

+2 planet // put it first

and bonus for // and maybe with a small separator

+2 barren

+1 artic

==========

And finally, it may be interesting to display FIDS production per population unit and as tooltips the source of those production (planet, event, exploitation, resources). but is a minor point.

Anyway, thanks for the support and rapid response!

In fact, When viewing a barren planet with a nonbarionic collider and 3 population, the production of research is 12 (as expected) but the tooltip show "+8 from population" and "+4 from improvement" (there is no system wide improvement). This is a bug and it induced me in error. This makes the exploitation a lot more interesting

The fact, that I am pestering you on this "insignificant" subject is proof enough that your alpha is rock solid and that I didn't find any bigger bug. Very impressive.
