I haven't been finding any information on the subject (granted, I haven't been looking very hard), but I'm curious as to the nature of the Sophons. That is, are they supposed to be some kind of robot/android race, or are they humanoids encased in special suits? If the latter (which I assume, given that there are males and females), then A) is there a (yet known) design of what they look like underneath those suits, and B) what purpose do these suits serve?

Click on the Amplitude Logo on the upper left, then there are links to each and every faction, including the lore, right in front of you. Just wait for the sophons to come up, click on them and your questions will be answered.
