Questions about a potentional campaign

So I'm a fan of strategy games, and I've always liked space combat...but sadly most of these types of "4D" games refuse to do a campaign, which is a huge factor for my enjoyment of any game. If there isn't any campaign, I usually shelve the game after a month, and never play it again. Sins of Solar Empire was like that, and so was Sword of the Stars. So I've got 2 questions...

When this game is finally released, will the game devs take into account that a complicated game will need an in depth and extensive tutorial system to explain game mechanics and features?

This might seem like "duh" question. But both the games mentioned above does NOT take that into account. Sins has a very basic tutorial, and Sword of the Stars doesn't have one at all. They just leave new players to figure everything out on their own. Not even a campaign to help explain things.

My second question, is will there actually BE a campaign? Ideally I'd love a campaign I can co op with my friend on, but at this point I'll be very happy with just a "normal" single player campaign. I saw the question on this interview:

Unfortunately the guy never really confirmed a campaign, just that they wouldn't ignore the single player game.

I agree, the actual tutorial isn't very good, and it's pretty annoying to read it all, i think a "step-by-step" tutorial, in a special galaxy, more interactive, would help people to understand the whole gameplay.

Here /#/endless-space/forum/27-general/thread/8106-endless-space-–-alpha-version they refer to adding Narrative Content to the game for Beta testing so I assume they have something in mind in terms of campaign.

As for the tutorial the current one is quite comprehensive. If you just read most of it first time round then start a new game when you;re confused and look for the bits you know you're missing you can find most of what you need. I agree it could be split into more bite sized chunks and it would be very useful to have a central database of information, but I see there is a greyed out "Archive" option in the options menu which may well fill this role in the future.

So this tutorial that involves reading...is it just basically like reading a manual in the archives? Or is there plans for a more extensive series of "missions" in which the narrator says for example...

"this is how you move, now you do it"

As far as your link is concerned...the mods choice of words gives me reason to worry. You would only use "narrative content" if you didn't plan to do campaigns, just write lore into an archive for people to read. If I wanted to do that, I have an entire bookshelf...when I play a video game, I want to experience the story, not just read an ocean of text.

I like the tutorial pop ups but...

It would be good if the relevant pages were available on demand - "i" button for example.

A long campaign/tutorial (to feed it numbskulls like myself) would be usefull

also

The descriptions in the research tree are ridiculously vague.
