I have a wee question. When you research Optimized Logistics you get Carefull Sweeping and the Colonial tech (which is very nice). Now my question is this Carefull Sweeping gives you +2 Dust on explored Moon but with a -3 Dust on Improvent costs. How does this work out? You will still have a -1 Dust income from the system.



As I write this I wonder does the -3 improvement cost get subtracted from all moons this is applied on in your system or does the -3 dust only apply for the application of this improvement but it does not consider how many moons you have?



Does this make sense?



Any input would be great.

Careful Sweeping is a system improvement, therefore you get +2 dust for each explored moon in the system and -3 dust on the systems total dust output.

In other words Careful Sweeping is totally useless unless you have two or more explored moons in the system.

onyx is correct in this matter. Sweeping tends not to be too useful as the majority of multi-planet systems still only have a couple of moons. It would however be very useful in a system with 6 planets each with a moon!



It might also be useful when starting up new colonies later in the game, but I don;t know how much Industry it costs to build so the costs may outweigh the benefits.
