I've noticed there is an upgrade to heroes that gives them something along the lines of "-20% dust cost for abilities"

Is this referring to some abilities that I don't know how to use, similar to a Total War asassin/emissary kind of thing? What makes me think this is the hero traits that say they are good at stealing and such.

Or is it just -20% upkeep?

Some abilities in combat require dust and are only available if the hero has gained them.

Moving the thread to Raptor's FAQ smiley: smile

I think it's the special 'battle cards' which you can get for use during the battle scenes. Seems like a fairly lacklustre ability to me, I generally have enough dust that I don't make decisions based on the dust cost of using these abilities generally.

It depends...

I think it is a question of balance.

In some games where money is tight, between resurrecting heroes and paying for abilities... it can be a bit rough...
