I'm not sure if this is a bug or not because I don't know what the minimum requirements on a star system are in order to perform a retrofit. But I've played through the game once before and performed several retrofits on multiple fleets at a range of different systems that i own and had no problems.

But for some reason i cant retrofit any of my fleets of cruiser class ships that are in any of my systems. And the 'retrofit' button comes up with the message "You are missing resources in the star system to perform this retrofitting operation".

But i have performed this exact operation in previous play-throughs and earlier in this same game.

Note: My potential tonnage for this class of ship has changed from 200 - 281 due to research. This seems to be the only thing that may have happened differently this time round.

Hopefully somebody can explain to me exactly what resources are required in a star system to do a retrofit so that we know if this is a bug or not.

The "You are missing resources" message means that the design you are trying to upgrade to requires access to a resource you don't have at the moment.

For instance, if you build a ship type that requires Titanium-70, then you need to first research Titanium-70, and second colonize a planet with Titanium-70 on it. Also, if there are Pirates or enemy ships in orbit around your mine, then you can't get access to that resource until you run them off.
