After finishing my first big round of Endless Space I still have a problem during wars. I was a Craver... so it felt alright when everybody declared war on me pretty much from the beginning.

But there starts the annoying part.



- my biggest fleet is in a system

- the enemy has its biggest fleet in the same system

- every other little empire sends scouts in the system too

- everytime I start a fight my big fleet with the best admiral, the biggest ships.... fights some damn scout



Is there some way to choose your enemy during such situations? (Maybe I´m just blind and can´t find the button) Will there be such an option in the final? At the moment I just stand there round after round and pretty much unleash hell blindly on everything in the hope that someday the steady stream of little annoying 1-ship-fleets stops coming.

The annoying one ship fleets are pretty annoying, I agree. The fact that you cannot select which fleet to attack is also a problem. This has led me to fire on other players I was not even at war with. For example, I am at cold war with player A, who has a scout in the system, and at "real" war with player B, who has a real fleet in the system. Clicking attack made me attack A's scout, which is totally useless.



It "seems" that the weakest enemy fleet is attacked first. So, as a workaround, I look at the assortment of enemy fleets, sort smallest first, and build custom fleets out of what I have in the system. So if there is one scout and one big enemy, I pull off one small destroyer and attack with that fleet first. Then I use my big admiral fleet on the remaining fleet.



But, there definitely needs to be a way to select among multiple fleets in a system or on a string. This is mentioned in my known bugs thread linked in my sig.

It would be useful to have an option to chose which enemy fleet to attack and I'm sure such feature will be added at some point.
