I'm sick of looking for shit that should be readily available and easy to find:

1. Beta release notes. (There are Alpha release notes under "Beta Tech Support", but no Beta!!)

2. Beta manual. (Why isn't this online????)

3. Explanation of things like "why are all planets really unhappy in beta?"

I like this game, but this is the most poorly organized forum I have ever seen. Random posts by editors you have to dig to find, the FAQ is only to introduce you to game concepts. There should be a clear place to go to get answers. Alas, such a magical place doesn't exist.

It's a pity they have this huge resource of the internet community to help hone the game, and they don't organize it.

Uhm, the manual I found by right clicking Endless Space under Library in Steam and clicking View Player Manual which took me to http://cdn.steampowered.com/Manuals/208140/Endless%20Space%20User%20Manual%20Alpha.pdf?t=1338831492 . Tada!

How about changing the title from "News from the dev team" to "News from the dev team w/ patch notes".

Aha! This helped tremendously. I do wish we could make the manual a bit more front page on the forums. I'm pretty new to the game (and loving it!), but there are quite a few things the tutorial left out (like "wormholes" and what they look like and what they do; and where I can find the turn-rate for population growth; and "How to Invade"). Checking out the wealth of info now.
