so i just hit this and i honestly didnt know there was one and it very abruptly ended my game and there was no way i saw there to continue, i looked over the options and settings when starting a game but i didnt find any way of turning this cap of, so my question is, is there any way to turn this cap of or continue playing at all?

also if not, will there be an option in the future to remove cap or continue playing?

Disable the Score Victory option. As long as that is disabled, and other victory options are selected, the game will continue beyond the 300 turn mark.

I believe so, yes.

If you want the longest game possible, I would recommend Supremacy Victory. You can hold off on conquering home worlds for as long as you want, allowing you to do...Just about whatever you want in the game, for as long as you want.

Yes, unfortunately due to an existing bug, if no victory option is ticked, the score victory is in place. I believe they're working on a fix. (I think, and hope so)

That's actually more of an exploit, I think...The AI, in my experience anyway, tends to set everything to Dust planetary exploits, jack up taxes, and mass buys ships. So, a huge fleet pops out of a system, because the AI just spent a loooot of Dust. You could do this too, if you wanted to kill your development and approval ratings.
