Apparently despite the prerequisites I could not build dreadnaughts in a SP game using sophon, when i researched the ships they did not appear in the "build" area of military, and therefore I got overwhelmed by pirates (simply throwing my protectors against them)

Anyone care to shed some light on how the hell i'm supposed to keep myself together under these conditions?

Or rather can anyone tell me why I simply didnt have the ships?

Click the "add" button in the ship design menu.

Damn it lol, I should've tried that, I had a booming empire and then it just got battered down because of some lousy pirates.

I have to say that this threw me when I first started playing as well, I was like, how do I get more ships after they didn't just pop up. Then I just did what I always do, look everywhere and eventually stumble upon it when you have given up!
