I have been watching this game on Steam for awhile now, and I am wondering if this would be a game I would enjoy. I very much looks like Galactic Civilizations II to me, which is a game I very much enjoyed. If I enjoy games like Galactic Civilizations II, and Civ IV, will this be a game for me?

Well...If you enjoyed GalCiv II, and you think this looks like it, then I guess you answered that yourself?

I haven't played those other games, but I think you should give ES a chance, especially if it's reminding you of those games and you liked them.

My favorite games are Moo 2 and Civ IV (past), Total War Shogun 2 (present) and ES (future ... well, two days from now for the official release). If you like 4x space games, you will like ES.

That is a little bit of an overgeneralization. It can, and will be improved. It relies a little too much on FIDS bonuses and does not play as smartly as a good human. That is what multiplayer is for!
