Hi all,

I was just wondering if it is possible to conquer an ennemy system through the expansion of your region ?

I searched through the FAQ but did not find any answer (sorry if I missed it though)

Just to explain myself:

The ennemy created a colony in a system close to mine. In conquered nearby systems and expanded my region. Therefore is colony is now 100% in my region.

Will it end turning into mine as you could consider that it will be greatly influenced by my empire ?

For those who played it in Civ 4 it was possible to get cities by expanding your culture which is somehow close to Endless space's region.

No eventually he will get a circle around his planet.

You can colonize a planet if you have other people in the system.

If you dont, you need a colonizing ship.

sorry if that was unclear.

I meant that the system is already his but totaly inside my region.

So i don't think sending a colonizing ship is the solution.

So is it possible to take systems by expanding the region ?

It didn't seem to happen in my first game. I don't know if that means it cannot happen, cannot happen yet, or can happen and I just missed something. smiley: wink

No. You can surround another empire's system with your influence region, but until you invade the system with a fleet to take it over, he'll keep it.

No unfortunately, I wish you could!

Like in Civ Rev where you can conquer with culture! I've not played Civ 4, but I'm guessing its a similar mechanic to that in Civ Rev.

As explained you won't convert the enemy system by having it in your area of influence. Question answered, thread closed.
