Because even "huge" (with biggest number of stars) seems much too small for me. I'd love to feel the incredibly huge size of the galaxy, spend hundreds of turns without even exploring the half of it. Galaxies tend to be so vast, that they should be an option to create such in Endless Space. I think that it wouldn't be a problem - actually galaxy map is rather simple and creating gigantic map in ES should not be as problematic as for example creating gigantic map in Civ IV.

I agree, there really should be a massive size option, something akin to actual galactic scale for us space-buffs
