Hope this is the right place to ask these questions.

Anyway I am a Sins of a Solar Empire player, currently trying to decide between three games to buy. Either the new Rebellion for SINS, this game or Distant Worlds from Matrix Games. Since I already have the previous version of SINS I am leaning towards the latter two.

The questions I have are

1) From what I have read there is a turn limit to the game. Can you play on past this limit? I have played some really big games of SINS and have not run into any sort of time limit. I seem to be able to play on till I either win or loose. I really like to turtle along with turn based games.

2) Can you lock the AI factions like in SINS, so if you are playing against multiple factions against the AI they cannot gang up on you? I quiet like this option in SINS. I notice from one of the youtube videos that you can disable pirates which is a good option.

3) Last question can you set how the AI plays like in SINS. Set them up as say fast or easy expanders, aggressive or not etc. I have not seen any of these options in the videos or forums yet.

As you can see by my questions I have not played the game yet, but I have tried to get answers for these questions on the web but no joy so far, hence my post here.

The game looks quiet good and seems to have good previews already which has captured my interest.

One question about distribution. Any chance of getting it listed on Matrix Games. There are plenty of us older gamers who prefer Matrix Games to Steam.

1) You can play past the turn limit if you turn off all victory conditions except supremacy, to end the game you will have to conquer all home worlds.

2) Currently no teams/locking is available but the AI does not seem to be prone to ganging up, usually there is a lot of conflict between all AIs. There are situations where you might get war declarations from several AI but this only happens when you own lots of space and border with a lot of AIs

3) No but the AI seems to lean towards the factions traits and tries to use it to its advantage. So you can do this by choosing the correct faction as your opponents.

As far as I know Endless Space uses certain Steam components to some extent, networking one of them so a port to a different platform might not be possible. If a developer sees this might be able to give you a clearer reply.
