Does setting convert unused industry to science damage your industry output later on?

Quick question, in the buildings screen where you can for infinite turns convert your industry for science, does this damage your future industrial score over time if you stop doing it? Or does everything go back to normal?

As far as my own experience goes, it went back to normal when I started building again.

it just using the industry for that turn not sure if it works with overflow havent tested it

It only lasts for one turn. But the conversion rate is only 25%; usually you're better off building ships.

Industry can only store an extra turns work of industry anyway, using this when you don't need ships or more improvemnts is usualy a good idea, espically for dust or science systems.
