So, I played my first game following one of the tutorials that encouraged use of specific galaxy settings (shape, number of empires, size, and age). Learned some stuff from that tutorial (thanks tutorial providing people ) and now about to start first real game. Problem is, when clicking new game, default settings for the galaxy aren't restored and there isn't a restore defaults button to click on (except for the advanced galaxy options, not the galaxy type options) and I don't recall what the default settings were. The manual and a search of these forums doesn't give me that information either.



I know I could just choose anything I fancied and give it a go, but since there *were* default settings for the galaxy options I would like to play my first real game in the form that the developers implicitly recommend by having it as the default. Dunno if that makes sense to anyone other than me, but yeah, I want to play a game on the default galaxy settings - anyone able to tell me what they are (shape, number of empires, size, age).

I think it's Spiral-8, 4, Normal, and Normal.

Hmm...



Now I'm not sure about size (There were 40 systems though), but I had:

Spiral-2

2 Players

Size ?

Normal

(Oh and United Empire ;P)



Maybe a difference between different versions? (I got my game right off Steam on release)
