Adaptive Industrial Systems

I've got into the very late game on a huge map and things have bogged down into a big war of attrition. Basically, whichever faction can churn out more fleets more quickly, will probably win. With that in mind, I'm wondering what is the most efficient way to build a late-game forge system. I took over a system pretty early in the game that had 6 planets: 1 medium, 4 large, and 1 huge. Many turns later, I terraformed half of the planets into Lavas, put a Hero with maxed out labor bonuses in the system, and bought every Industry improvement there is except for Adaptive Industrial Systems. Ended up with something like 4300 Industry in that system. Several turns after that, when it was clear the game was going nowhere fast, I switched around the system for Terran worlds and plowed everything into Food production; then I finally bought the Adaptive Industrial Systems improvement. It was kind of ridiculous. My Industry shot up to 6712.

So I guess my question is this. By the time you get access to Adaptive Industrial Systems, will using Lava worlds w/o AIS net you more Industry, or will using Terran worls w/ AIS net you more? Or might it be most efficient to use all Jungle worlds? I realize this probably isn't relevant for the vast majority of games where you'll never reach Dust Virtualization on the tech tree, but I'm intrigued by the possibilities. Has anyone managed to get a system with more than 6700 Industry?

Hi there!

You can definitly have a system with more than 6.7k ind, ive seen 10k, even 15k with no tempering of the save game.

Switch everything to jungle, use industry exploitation, put lvl 20 admin hero, when population is full use the improvment that takes all excess food into industry.

This will net you a Forge world ++ for your late game.

When you start pumping 2-3 fully upgraded battleship per turn, your in business smiley: wink

I have yet to get into a game that goes that far. It seems that if a game gets to this point where you are pumping out BB's every turn and have 10k ind I would think that you just didn't do much combat during the early to mid game. Or you've been at a stalemate. I seem to get conquered or win the game in most cases by turn 150-200.
