Could someone please help me with what the Dust Skill card Illusion is really doing?

Is it a shield of HP that needs to be knocked down before your real ships can be hit? Doesn't seem so.

Does it fire at the enemy with 40% of the CP power of your fleet? If so, there does not seem to be any graphics going along with that?

Is it a decoy for enemy fire? If so, there is not graphical representation of that occurring.

Apologies in advance to the "Use the forum search" police force, I searched on Illusion and it returned pages of unrelated posts.

I'm pretty sure it's simply a decoy (40% of your ship fleet's CP becomes dummy targets). I haven't played it in ages (rarely utilise the adventurer heroes unless needed), but I'm pretty sure every battle card has a graphical animation (either unique or copied/shared from the base battle cards).

*Also yeah don't worry too much, unless the main issue in previous posts is listed in the title, it is quite tricky to readily find related topics.

As near as I can tell, Illusion creates copies of your ships equaling 40% of your fleet's CP (or more if you blocked the enemy card). These copies do not fire at enemy ships, but they do draw fire. I don't think the enemy targets them particularly, but I definitely have seen at least some enemy fire going their way. Any that survive enemy fire blow up at the end of the phase.

I also thought I noticed at one point them adding to the dust gain from saboteur, but I did not go back and study that. They are listed as destroyed ships in the battle summary, which also makes me wonder if they add to enemy xp gain if you were to lose the battle.
