how to abandon a colony

I capture some Ai colony,but the system not good,so i want abandon it to keep my ppl happy.is there any way to abandon it?

There is no way to abandon or raze systems yet, its coming in a later patch.

If your faction has the pilgrim affinity, then I'm pretty sure you could evacuate the system, but I've never tried so I don't know how.

It doesn't truly abandon the system. It packs up all improvements and all but 1! pop into a big colonizer.

Which sounds like a fun trait to have, I'll need to try playing Pilgrim next. Does it all fit onto a ship that could be destroyed? If not, it might be good to be able to drain a poor colony and move it's pop and buildings to a rich one.
