Hello there dev-Team.

When I bought the Admiral Edition of the game because it said to have the "Digital Release" of the Soundtrack with it, I was pretty frustated that the soundtrack was included in 192 kbit/s lossy mp3s.

Call me an audiophile nerd, but "Digital Release" let me hope for something better than lossy files that have worse quality than CD (Invented by Phillips in 1989). Cmon ppl, its 2012 and HDD space is not a problem anymore. Who can install a 2GB game can also listen to a soundtrack with a size of around 300-400 MB.

Are you planning on releasing a proper digital release in flac or the like? Because so far the quality is exactly than the one dfrom the game and I was really hoping for a Soundtrack that would be superior to the compressed format used in the game.

And for all the people who say "you dont hear" the difference, it's cool that you don't, but please don't speak for ppl who have NOT killed 30 percent of their ears by going to the disco every weekend.

cheers,

BTW: awesome game.

We do have a the sound files in in .flac. However, at 400MB, not everyone would be happy to have such a huge music file so we went for the mp3 format.

Well then, you cannot limit the download to people who actually purchased the game and those who did not. smiley: alder

Would releasing it as free DLC on Steam not work? I don't think you can download DLC (free or otherwise) without the base game.

Edit: tathanic already suggested something similar to this but I assume from your post replying to it that you found issue with charging for something that was already 'free'.

That's sad. I really was hoping to hear them in lossless, for I would be one of them who would be very happy with a Lossless release of the soundtrack smiley: frown

Please consider uploading the soundtrack to bandcamp or the like in Lossless. I would also if needed gladly pay for it.
