So is the Mac version being released today as well? My fiancee bought it on the promise they'd have a mac version at release, I wanted to know if that holds after the release date was pushed so far up (the ETA was back in August when she bought the game). Just don't see it in the release notes is all.

We had to delay it a bit: we needed to get the PC version ready. I can't say when exactly, as I don't even know myself, to be honest. However, we will try to get it ready as soon as we ca,; before the retail version.

We also have to take a look at the modding. So many things to do!!! smiley: fat

Just had my first Wine crash of the release (had several before release too) on my first accepted offer of peace - a short beginning of a fanfare and then poof. Thank goodness autosaves. Crashes and 100% CPU usage at all times make a Mac version not just a luxury smiley: frown

Thanks for working on it!

The lack of a Mac version is pretty much the only thing that stands between me and buying the game, going to be so excited when it does come out.

you can always use bootcamp!

My solution has been to use Parallels to run Windows 7 in a window which in turn lets me run ES.

I will go out on a limb and assume those of us who bought the game as a Window's version through Steam get the Mac version under the same license?

So I take it the mac version will end up in steam and be covered by Steam play?

The problem with most of the solutions is that they still come down to getting a copy of Windows which gets to be unfortunately difficult in a purely Apple based household smiley: frown

Btw is there any vague eta for the Mac version?

I don't have storage space enough on my Macbook Pro to store a bootcamp Windows partition (or parallels etc)

Yes, when you buy a game on Steam, you buy DRM-free versions of both PC and Mac-compatible versions, when they're available. So if the game released a Mac version, you won't be paying any more money or dealing with any extra hassle with Steam.
