I would like to know if there is an option to exchange ships between existing fleets.



After a battle I often have a fleet with one or two heavily damaged ships. If I enter another - even small battle – the damaged ships are destroyed.



So I would like to take a non-damaged replacement ship in the same system and replace the damaged ship in the fleet. Or I would like to take two damaged fleets and exchange ships between them, so that I could create one “healthy” fleet to continue fighting and one “damaged” fleet that could be moved behind the front in order to repair in safety.



In the moment the only possibility I found, is to disband both fleets and create a total new one, which is a lot of work (rename fleet, reassign hero…).



Is there some easier way to do so?

Yes: Click in a ship in the fleet, then you can drag and drop it to another fleet in the same system. Works the same way as putting to fleets together but just with one ship.

At first I thought you meant between fleets from different factions (which is currently impossible), but yes, just do what the people above said.

You can also just select the unhealthy ships from one fleet and click "create", that will move them to a new fleet. This is mostly in case you need some extra space to move your ships around in a hostile system where abandoning a fleet will cause the ships to be lost.
