Strategy Help Requested

I've been playing 4X games for 20+ years. Finding ES to be difficult.



I'd like some ideas on how I should proceed in what should be a rather easy game I've been playing.



Normal difficulty. Single. 8-arm large galaxy. No pirates. Only supremacy victory allowed I'm a custom race with complete control of northern three arms. Amoebas have control of most of southern three arms. Cravers have one arm to the west; Sophons have one arm to the east. I have to go through Amoeba space to get to either Cravers or Sophons.



I'm ahead in science and have the best ships. I sent an expedition south that blew up about 20 Amoeba fleets and conquered their home world. I scrapped every improvement on their home world, then gifted it back. Then I went over and did the same thing to the Cravers. Now I have a cease fire with everybody.



Despite all my mayhem against the Amoebas, they're still ahead of me in score. It's about turn 150 and they're about 2500 and I'm about 2400. Cravers and Sophons are both around 1500.



I thought I'd waltz to victory in the early part of this game, but now I'm stuck, unsure what to do next. Should I do trench warfare and conquer Amoeba territory star by star? Should I try to wipe out Cravers or Sophons first? Should I sit back till I'm at the top of the tech trees?



Thoughts appreciated.

The definition of a Supremacy victory is to own every homeworld. That means you need to re-take the Amoeba homeworld, and then take the Craver and Sophon homeworlds, too. All other colonies and outposts can be ignored, though you have some time to take the promising ones.

Thanks. I feel kind of stupid, but it's good to have a plan. (1) Make lots of beam destroyers. (2) Take the 3 homeworlds simultaneously.

Also, at your point in the game, AIs might get most of their score from (useless) ships.
