I am playing the Sheredyn having a problem with my current game here is a save for those that want to look at it t1.rar. but basically I am 334 turns in and I am about to start my military expansion in to the other 3 empires (these factions are the Sophons allied with, Horatio at peace and the Hissho at peace) I am going to attack the Hissho first as they possess more planet with buffs as well as the largest threat to me, the problem is that about 7 turns ago the Horatio's space influence has taken over about 50% of my empire's influence now I am at a lost of how to regain that space sector and hold it, I am building fleets in the sectors that I feel are threatened but I don't want to take hostile action against them (only because I don't want to fight 2 Factions at the same time).

Without having checked the save yet, if your only goal is to "push back" the Horatio faction borders, you can combat that by increasing your own influence radius. This can be done by both increasing population on the border worlds as well as building improvements in the border worlds such as CIS-OORT Satellites and Entangled Sensor Arrays. The former can be gotten with very early tech, the latter requires going a bit deeper into the lefthand (diplo/trade/food) tech tree. Note that faction influence itself does not have any actual effect on the systems that you have inside it, so long as you are at peace and have open borders with the faction in question - so it might be easier in the short term to negotiate an open borders agreement with the Horatio (so that you can travel through "their" space to your systems inside it) rather than try to push back the influence areas.
