Depleted?

Call me lucky/unlucky, but Ive never come across depleted planets before. From what I gather, they are a result of one of the factions special abilities - it seems to be throughout the Craver system Ive just taken over. Funny, Ive never beaten a game with them present, they wiped me out when I was learning and I just got unlucky with them in games where I have won. Seems I mostly face UE, Sophon, Horatio, Automaton (usually with duplicates as well).

Can someone take a minute to explain what causes a planet to become depleted, what the depletion effect has, and how I can reverse it?

Thanks.

Heh I just came here for the same reason, I can't find any information on it or if it's reversible.

All I can find is:
+1 Locust Point (LP) per turn on each colonized planet.

+25% FIDS for the first 40 LP, -25% after 60.

Do Locus points tick down after the Carvers are gone?

The quote is from the hover help of the craver affinity, in case people want to know where to find it. Locust points are only incremented when cravers own the planet. This can be good or bad; for example, if cravers colonize a planet and you conquer it quickly, you can get the +25% FIDS benefit for ever. There is no way to "fix" depleted planets.

Okay, thank you for the reply. I guess I'll have to remember that and try to make the most of carver owned planets before they are depleted.
