Any guides explaining Trade Routes?



I don't really see the connection between the buildings and the routes. For example, I made a Coop with the Amoeba and then after some time some routes showed up in two systems. Then I built some improvements in another system and the old routes moved to the planet with the fresh improvements.



So that seemed pointless.



I really need some idea of how to use them or optimize them because I'm ignoring that whole side of the game because it doesn't seem to do anything more interesting.

Good call. That covers more or less all the details of trade routes. There is also a page on the wiki for this, though it does not mention the specific calculations:

Thanks. I've been poking though the guides, but I can never tell when a guide is for an alpha or beta version and no longer relevant.

Good point. The weapon balances have changed massively since alpha, and again since beta. But everything else is pretty much the same.
