Hello everyone,



recently I got into this game and I like it a lot.It reminds me of MoO2. By now I played only 2 games on Normal, one Wonder win with Hissho and my current game with Sophons aiming for Scientific victory. But there are a couple of things that are not clear to me. So if anyone can provide some insight I will be very grateful.



So first about terraforming. Lets say I have a Lava planet with 1 pop with FIDS output 1/4/1/2, without any beneficial anomalies. If this planet gets terraformed to Desert the incremented values eg. +1 food , +5 indust. + 1 science, do they get added to the current values , so after terraforming I will have a Desert planet with FIDS - 2 / 9 / 2 / 2 ?



Is it a good strategy also to specialize your systems - like turning all planets in one system to one type for example oceans - so that this system can become major science output hub?



And finally what is the exact path to terraforming? What I thought initially to terraform Lava in to Ocean , you need to do it in this sequence Lava - Barren - Desert - Arid - Terran - Ocean? But in my current game with the Sophons, if my memory is not failing me, I can terraform directly Arid to Ocean.

There are levels of planets and you need to terraform it one level at a time.

There is an image in the wiki, http://endlessspace.wikia.com/wiki/Planet , that shows what level becomes what.



And it change output from type to type.



When it comes to specialize a system i think it can be usefull, perhaps not as important as in Civ but since some bonuses is in % its better to have a high base value.



I've only played a few games, or rather started (have one long 150 turn + SP and one MP with two friends) so im no expert but this is my (our) thought. =)

If you are going up that tree then yea Its definitly helpfull to specilize your systems.
