Hi. Great game, one question.

Do population auto-transfer between planets?

I use to transfer between planets a lot, to maximize the production I want and mostly so that the planets not are at their max capacity, to hinder pop growth.

I've noticed that after some(?) turns the population goes back to full at one planet an almost empty on the others.

Maybe another question is in place here too; do pop growth affect the solar system or the individual planets?

E.g. Does it matter if a planets pop is full? Do the "newborn" pop just goes to the next planet available? (So no pop is lost due to a full planet).

Thanks

I'm sure others can answer this better but as far as I know the game automatically places new pops where it determines is best(which may not be what you think is best). I haven't paid enough attention to individual planets to see if the AI moves my pop around but I thought once you moved a pop it stayed there, hopefully someone can clear that up.

As far as your other question, food affects a whole system, not just planets. That is why a Terran or some other high food planet on food exploitation can populate a whole system even if every other planet is on other exploitations.

Random advice: from everything I've read, most (not all) of the time it is better to focus on growth before production. You may lose some production for a few turns but you you more than make up for it with the extra pop as the game progresses. There is nothing wrong with changing food exploitation to others after a system is maxed out since it is generally quick and it is certainly cheap in dust.
